1. Unto us a boy was born; 
Welcome little stranger!
In a barn he found a home,
His cradle was a manger.

2. Cattle lowed while angels sang
On this blest occasion;
Oxen fell upon their knees
To show their adoration.

3. When the boy was twelve years old,
To the temple going,
There he sat with doctors wise,
To them the truth he was showing.

4. Sick folk came to him for help,
Rich men left their revels.
Comfort to the poor he brought
And cast out many devils.

5. Joy he brought to all the world,
Chance that comes to few here,
And today he lives again
To wish us Happy New Year.
